Laser Treatment

What is Laser Treatment?

Laser therapy uses a focused light beam to treat or prevent vision loss from retinal conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears, and vein occlusions.

How it works

  • For retinal tears, laser seals the edges to prevent a detachment.
  • For diabetes or vein issues, laser slows down leaking blood vessels or reduces abnormal growth.

What to expect

Most laser treatments are done in the office, take only a few minutes, and have minimal discomfort.
